Mobile ubiquitous communications will broaden the “mobile world” in today to the “ubiquitous world” in tomorrow. Taking mission of seeking the innovative technologies and business models to advance the state-of-the-art of mobile and ubiquitous communications, we are developing new technologies, applications and solutions to provide the users with new communication experience and environments in the Mobile Ubiquitous Communication lab.

- Mobile Ubiquitous Service
With mobile ubiquitous communications, more enticing services are expected in  the future. Our researches are focusing on innovative services and business models, and also on the key technologies supporting them. Our research activities include Internet-based multimedia serices, service continuity and QoS guarantee between heterogeneous networks, new value-added services in the mobile ubiquitous scenarios and so on.
- Mobile Ubiquitous Network
Mobile ubiquitous network technologies are the basis for any new services. With the integration of mobile communications and ubiquitous communications, more novel types of network will emerge. Our researches are focusing on the innovative network technologies which support the mobile ubiquitous services, including mobile ubiquitous network architecture, fixed/mobile communications convergence, personal/home network technologies and so on. |

 Mobile ubiquitous communications describe the enticing future of mobile communications. With advanced radio transmission technologies, the spectral efficiency will be enhanced. With new network technologies, the quality of communications will be improved. With the integration of mobile communications and ubiquitous communications, the communication parties will be broadened from person-to-person to person-to-machine and machine-to-machine. Mobile ubiquitous communications will bring not only innovations on new technologies, but also innovations on new services and business models.
Based on the above visions, the Mobile Ubiquitous Communication lab has been carrying on the systematic researches including new technologies, applications and business models. Our researches are focusing on mobile ubiquitous services and network.
As a new direction for mobile ubiquitous communications, there are not only plenty of new opportunities, but also more challenges. Within our MUC lab, we have talents with different backgrounds. And their knowledge and experiences will be the basis for our innovative research activities here.
As a member within the family of DOCOMO research laboratories, we have been carrying on the international research activities. Meanwhile, we have set up collaborations with the famous domestic universities and institutes, in order to promote the development of mobile ubiquitous communications.
